<p>TOWN OF ULSTER – Two 33-year-old women from the Saratoga Springs area were arrested by state police in the Town of Ulster Thursday after they stole thousands of dollars of merchandise from a department store.  Both are facing felony charges following their attempted heist.</p>
<p>Ashley Vanetten of Ballston Spa and Cassandra Felice of Greenfield Center entered the Kohl’s store on Thursday and began putting merchandise in a rolling suitcase and shopping cart.  The items included a vacuum, cosmetics, and other high-value merchandise, according to a customer who observed the two women.</p>
<p>The customer says one of the women wheeled the suitcase and shopping cart out of the store and approached her vehicle as a state police unit rolled up behind her and took her into custody.  The customer said she had lost sight of the accomplice in the parking lot.</p>
<p>Vanetten is charged with felony grand larceny (greater than $1,000) and Felice is charged with felony grand larceny (greater than $3,000).</p>
<p>Mid Hudson News was able to obtain the arrest information from the New York State Police.</p>
