Tina Fey, Steve Carrell continue shooting Netflix series in Beacon

BEACON – Hollywood stars Tina Fey and Steve Carrell have been in Beacon the last few weeks shooting scenes for their Netflix Series “The Four Seasons.”

On Tuesday, the production crew was in front of Dickinson’s Antiques and Blackbird Attic on Main Street.

Fey, who rose to fame on “Saturday Night Live,” co-created the show and is starring in the series based on the 1981 film of the same name. Carrell, her co-star, is best known for his role as Michael Scott in “The Office” on NBC.

The original romantic comedy movie was written and directed by Alan Alda and starred Carol Burnett.

The story revolves around three upper-middle-class couples from New York who take vacations together four times a year, one per season. One of the husbands leaves his wife and introduces a much younger woman into the mix, upsetting the balance of the relationship.

“Beacon is delighted to welcome the entire cast and crew of this production,” Beacon Mayor Lee Kyriacou said. “The film industry has become an important part of our regional economy, and the production provides an important boost to the Beacon businesses and non-profits whose facilities are used.”

Fey and Carell previously headlined the 2010 comedy film “Date Night.”
