GJW Tutorial: How to Achieve 100+ Subs and 1000+ Views in 4 Days

Today marks the one-week anniversary since I opened my channel on Ganjing World(GJW). On the fourth day after the channel launch, I achieved approximately 100+ subscribers and 1000+ views. As a newbie, this is already a significant achievement that fills me with pride. I would like to share my experiences and strategies in building this channel during this time, in the hopes of assisting all those who share a connection with me in having a more enjoyable and effective exploration experience in GJW.

Life is full of delightful surprises, and we often stumble upon love just around the corner. Recently, I unexpectedly reconnected with a friend in Ganjing World whom I hadn't spoken to in a long time due to our busy work lives. We updated each other on our lives and work, and I bombarded her Signal with a bunch of my AI photos, which made her very happy. Little did I know that this would become my gateway to GJW.

Day 0

Setting Up the Channel Account

After deciding to open a channel, the first thing I did was look for tutorial videos. Thanks to the videos from Taiwan Mom Lateisha, I saved a lot of time by avoiding unnecessary detours. You can read this English article for reference. Hopefully someone can make an English tutorial video later!

Please find a folder called #新手上路 #ForNewbies in my Collections. Here, I've collected various tutorial videos about GJW shared by enthusiastic veterans. This will give you a sense of fast-tracking your progress and save you a lot of time.

#Tip 1: When entering a new environment, don't rush into action. Necessary learning and research can accelerate the exploration process.

Defining the Channel Theme

After creating the channel, my first step was to explore GJW, familiarize myself with the self-media ecosystem, identify who was opening channels, what content was popular, and what topics people were interested in, among other things.

I stumbled upon a report about Jennifer Lebedev, the ambassador of GJW, who has millions of fans on YouTube. Her channel inspired me greatly: online courses and tutorial videos are one of the most popular content types in self-media and a major trend. What could be a more promising instructional channel in Ganjing World than one that teaches people how to navigate Ganjing World itself? I believe friends with strategic vision will realize that GJW not only provides a platform for showcasing (self-media channels), but once GJW develops, it will drive the development of surrounding industries. Similarly, once your own channel develops here, all the good karma you create can also promote your surrounding projects and brands.

I truly hope this platform develops quickly. I mean, what's better than teaching everyone here how to promote their brand, excel in their channels, and bring more people to become GJWer, thus promoting the GJW platform even more effectively?

#Tip 2: Choosing a suitable channel theme is crucial. It should match your personality, style, working hours, lifestyle, and more. I will delve deeper into this in future posts.

Day 1

Designing the Channel Visuals

Apart from content, the most influential aspect of branding is visual presentation. On this day, I spent most of my time designing the Channel Art. Fortunately, I had some experience using Canva from a previous channel, Ariel Tian Music 雲坊, so I wasn't completely inexperienced.

Check out this article to learn how to design your channel art with Canva. GJW banners are very similar to YTB channel art. Actually I think someone should open a English channel to share about all tools and tutorials to help new GJWers. I am pretty sure you will get promoted by GJW Algorithm!

#Tip 3: Learning Canva can empower even a complete design novice to easily create most of the GJW graphic designs.

Using a real profile picture creates trust, a professional image garners credibility, and an elegant channel cover image indicates a professional attitude towards the channel. I designed versions of my channel cover image similar to #GJW for various social media platforms. This way, my 656 LinkedIn connections and 6.2K Facebook fans know about my new channel on Ganjing World. Remember to preview and check the channel cover image on different devices like PC, tablet, and mobile. My channel cover image has been modified and updated dozens of times so far, although you don't need to be as detail-oriented as me, it's essential to preview and check on different interfaces.

If someone follows a channel with less than 100 followers, it's either because they are friends with the creator or because they believe the creator has potential. Taking brand-related visuals and presentation seriously communicates to the community that you are committed to your work, have a promising future, and following you won't be a waste of time.

#Tip 4: While branding isn't everything, having no brand is a significant disadvantage.

Day 2

First Post

Posting for the first time brought a sense of excitement and joy, as if saying, "Finally, we're open for business!"

Posting is an excellent way to make your presence felt, which is crucial for your brand image and channel activity. If you don't have a lot of time to create video and article content, you can post short updates daily, sharing your thoughts and achievements with your audience. If you've made progress and achievements in GJW, no matter how small they may seem to you, sharing them is encouraged. It not only motivates yourself but also encourages others to move forward together. Walking a path alone can be challenging at times, but when we walk together, it becomes much easier and more enjoyable. Isn't that true?

#Tip 5: Sharing a bit of goodness and beauty every day can warm your heart and brighten someone else's day.

First Article

Actually, before getting started, there's one essential question that many people overlook but is crucial: #WhyAreYouDoingThis? Why are you opening a channel on GJW? What's your initial intent and fundamental motivation, and what goals do you want to achieve? I can say without exaggeration that the depth of your thinking about this question will largely determine more than half of your success. This initial intent will be the source of all your inspiration and the foundation for all your achievements. Your fundamental motivation will serve as the driving force and opportunity for your progress or transformation during every low point and milestone.

My answer to this question is written in the first article I published on my channel.

Chinese version of this article has garnered over 1200 views, 203 likes, and has been shared in nearly 50 FB groups, accounting for over 80% of my channel's traffic to date.

I will write a dedicated post on #HowToPromoteArticles and #HowToPromoteInFBGroups, so stay tuned.

#Tip 6: "Why you're doing it" is worth deeper contemplation than "how you're doing it."

Day 3

Creating #Short Videos

Ganjing World, like YouTube, is a social media platform primarily focused on video content, which means video content has the opportunity to receive more algorithmic recommendations.

I'm a bit lazy, so I post the same content as both a Chinese and English post, then create short videos by taking screenshots directly from my phone. Unfortunately, GJW's background music options are still limited, and I couldn't find the corporate or business-style background music I needed. So, I mostly use Mojo's background music to create short videos and then download and upload them to Ganjing World and Facebook. Later I found that we can use Pixabay to download background music with free royalty. I will share details in my later articles.

Later, I started using Mojo to create short videos. One of Mojo's best features is the ability to create a Reel Cover, making your channel's short video section look more professional.

Doesn't this presentation look much better than the messy one above? I will post in the future about #HowToUse

Later, I began using Mojo to create short videos. One of Mojo's best features is the ability to create a Reel Cover, which gives your channel's short video section a highly professional appearance.

Doesn't this kind of presentation below look much better than the cluttered one above? I will post in the future about #HowToUseMojo, so stay tuned.

#Tip 7: Branding lies in craftsmanship, and quality is found in the details.

Day 4

Post English Article

I used ChatGPT to complete the translation of my Chinese article, and I requested ChatGPT to rewrite it following the logic of English writing. After making corrections and adjustments to grammar, I obtained my first English article. I highly recommend that everyone learn how to generate articles in other language using ChatGPT because it can significantly double or multiple your content production efficiency. As long as you have a very basic level of reading ability in that language, you can engage in quite professional blogging.

I didn't specifically promote the English article, while I did promote the Chinese one. You can see the difference in traffic between these two articles. I will later post an article on how to promote articles and how to utilize Facebook groups for promotion. Please stay tuned for that.

#Tip 7: ChatGPT is a mandatory course in language, and Facebook groups are a mandatory course in promotion.

Day 4

Engaging with the Community

I basically follow every friend who follows me and occasionally check their posts. I can glean from their experiences the issues that people often overlook or frequently encounter, which serves as a reference for creating my content. I adapt my content and direction according to the dynamics and changes within the community. I will share specific details in future posts.

#Tip 8: A community is a two-way street.

Posting the First Video

Because it's a new channel, I haven't had the chance to post more videos yet. I just uploaded a video from my recent trip to Melbourne to participate in the Falun Dafa parade, along with the children, with the hashtag #KindnessisCool.

For students who don't know how to use Canva to create videos and thumbnails, please learn from the video below or READ THOSE TUTORIAL.

Again, I hope someone can make English tutorials for GJW community.

#Tip 9: Thumbnail directly determines whether others will click on your video, don't underestimate its importance.

This is the entire process of how I gained 100+ followers and 1000+ views within four days. I hope it can inspire and motivate you.

If you find my sharing helpful, please subscribe to my channel. If you can visit my online store 雲真閣 Yun Boutique and purchase my jewelry, wearing it in your shorts and video and tag #ArielTianTian雲起時分, I would be even happier~
