The Paris Alcoholic Beverage Control Board will be meeting at noon Thursday to discuss three beer permit applications and have one hearing for an alleged violation.
The violation is alleged to have occurred at Westwood Market, 45 Hwy. 69 in West Paris.
The store is accused of selling beer to a minor. This is the first violation at that store.
As for the permit applications, Nena Arnold has made an application for a permanent beer permit for Knott’s Landing Restaurant LLC. The business will be at 2613 E. Wood St., the former location of Ann and Dave’s Kitchen, which recently closed.
Arnold is also an owner of the Take Me Back Cafe, 302 W. Wood St.
There are two separate applications for temporary beer permits for upcoming events.
Kelly Winston of the Paris-Henry County Healthcare Foundation applied for a temporary permit for the Death by Disco — Murder Mystery fundraiser.
That event will be Sept. 30 at the Paris Wheels skating rink.
And, Darrin Thompson of the Downtown Paris Association applied for a temporary permit for the Blues, Brews and BBQ event planned for 6-10 p.m. Oct. 28.
That event will be on West Washington Street between Market and Fentress streets.
