Hospital: The No. 924 Hospital of the PLA Joint Logistics Support Force
Address: No. 1, Xinqiaoyuan Road, Xiangshan District, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China
The No. 924 Hospital of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Joint Logistics Support Force claims its technology to be at an advanced level in the entire military. The total number of kidney transplants has exceeded 2,200. In a telephone investigation by WOIPFG, the director of the hospital's transplant center admitted to using organs from Falun Gong practitioners, saying that " We supply [organs to] entire China”. In view of the background of the CCP’s national crime of live organ harvesting, the hospital is clearly suspected of participating in the crime of organ harvesting from groups such as Falun Gong practitioners.
I. Hospital Overview
Founded in 1946, the hospital now is a large-scaled, comprehensive "third level first class" hospital. The hospital covers an area of more than 90,000 square meters, with a construction area of more than 120,000 square meters and more than 1,000 beds[1]。[2]
II. Overview of the Kidney Transplant Center
1. The "PLA Kidney Transplant and Dialysis Treatment Center" is at the advanced level of the entire army.
On May 23, 2007, PLA No. 181 hospital (formal name of the same hospital) was authorized by Ministry of Health to conduct kidney transplantation.[3] It serves as a PLA kidney transplant and dialysis treatment center, and the Guangzhou Military Region Organ Transplant Center. It is the member unit of the Guangzhou Military Region Organ Transplant Committee.
The PLA Kidney Transplant and Dialysis Treatment Center was built up on the Nephrology Department of the hospital, and simultaneously serves as Kidney Disease Research Institute and Organ Transplantation Center of Guangzhou Military Region. The center was a commissioner institute of the Guangzhou Military Region's Organ Transplant Academic Board and Guangxi Academy of Medical Sciences’ Organ Transplantation Branch. The center included organ transplantation, kidney disease, blood purification and basic experiment divisions. It was at advanced technical level among PLA hospitals, and a leading level in Guangzhou Military Region and in Guangxi Province.[4]
2. The number of beds at kidney transplant
PLA Kidney Transplant and Dialysis Treatment Center of this hospital had 150 beds.[5]
3. Plenty of transplant surgeons
PLA Kidney Transplant and Dialysis Treatment Center had 17 physicians and 12 technicians in total. Among them, there were 2 doctorate supervisors, 4 master’s supervisors, 5 chief physicians, 3 associate chief physicians, 4 attending physicians and 9 resident doctors.[6] They are capable of forming multiple kidney transplantation teams.
4. High volume of transplant
According to publicly available data on the internet, the total number of kidney transplants by the hospital's transplant team has exceeded 2,200, heart transplants at least 70, and liver transplants at least 200. [7]
III. The “year 2000” time point was mentioned twice in the Chinese online information describing the hospital.
"In 2000, we conducted the first combined pancreas and kidney transplantation surgery in Guangdong and Guangxi. In 2001, we took the lead in Guangxi in conducting kidney transplantation between relatives, and in 2002 we started earlier to conduct hand-assisted laparoscopic kidney transplantation between relatives in China."
"Since 2000, the ward has treated nearly 1,000 patients per year, and the annual volume of kidney transplants has reached more than 150 cases."[12]
IV. Data from paper published in medical journal
From Oct 2006 to Dec 2012, the hospital conducted 29 orthotopic heart extractions and transplants. Male “donors” were brain-dead, ages 20 to 39, average 24.9±6.2 years old. Warm ischemia time was 5 to 8 minutes. [8]
V. Telephone investigation reveals donor source unknown
WOIPFG telephone investigation revealed that the hospital had a large number of surgeries, which claiming "many donated organ donors". However, the Guangxi Guilin Red Cross Organ Donation Office denied that the source of the organs used in the hospital's surgeries was donated from the Red Cross.

We do more than 200 cases of kidney transplantation in a year, and about 30 to 40 cases of liver transplantation in a year. We have more than 100 organ donors every year. That is one or two [donors] every week. Having so many donated organs, is because we started [doing organ donations] early in the country, [we are] advanced.
