A True Story that Inspired A Nation

A True Story that Inspired A Nation

Many are worried that the US and China will have a military war. Will they?  Beyond the polished news from China and internet censorship, what does everyday Chinese people think about it? What do their lives under the communists' ruling really look like?

A documentary film State Organs: Unmasking Transplant Abuse in China, is having a theatrical release in the US from Jan 26. It talks about two young people suddenly went missing in mainland China, prompting their families embarking a 20-year dangerous search for them within the communist state.  What they encountered was merciless rejection, a shocking state crime, and eventually, a sense of hope as a renewal of traditional faith emerged in China.

The film sheds light on a highly secretive state crime through a wealth of first-hand testimonies, including exclusive interviews with surgeons involved in live organ harvesting, pre-disappearance recordings of victims, and more. The atrocity has been verified by multiple reports from the US government and court conclusions.

Yet, the documentary is the first of its kind to portray organ pillage from the eyes of victims’ families, marking the first instance of a victim statement in the state crime. " “Many Chinese families lost their young and healthy children to the state crime, and their voice must be heard," said Director Raymond Zhang.

The film also unveils a grassroots movement in China, using an innovative yet effective approach to dissolve the seemingly invincible superpower. Some said it will bring ultimate peace to the world.  Isn't that what we all wanted?

Director Raymond Zhang is a Peabody Award winner, while Composer Daryl Bennett has received both Emmy Awards and a Grammy Awards. RooYee Films is a company committed to producing high-quality inspirational movies. State Organs was honored with the 2023 Leo Awards for Best Direction and Best Music, and nominations for Best Feature-Length Documentary, Best Screenwriting, Best Picture Editing, and Best Sound.

The movie is now on Gan Jing World.
