The director, Li Yide, explores the reasons behind his parents' divorce from a first-person perspective, gaining insight into his parents' views on marriage and their current lives through conversations with them. His father, Li Tianhao, had no specific goals for marriage, while his mother, Yang Shuru, had many expectations, but found many things unsatisfactory. Each of them recounts their experiences in their marriage, and as they recall the past, will they develop different perspectives on marriage? Through the lens, the director Li Yide seeks to understand his parents' past, while reflecting on his childhood relationship with them, and discovers something new in the process.
