Boracay Island is a small sandy island in the Philippines that is probably famous for one resounding decision. Has been suspended!
In just 25 years, this small island has carried the burden of popularity and, unfortunately, decadence on its shoulders. The great success that the island of Boracay had achieved on the international tourism front had endangered the island's original ecosystem, which in the face of ruthless urbanization, both on the coasts and in the interior, was reaching environmental collapse. However, there is an unforgettable date that changed this irrepressible desire for leisure and vacations, and it is April 26, 2018: Until then, the fate of the small island was marked by an inexorable and constant decline, made of pollution, abandoned plastic and sewage.That day, the island stopped, was suspended. Closed to tourism to begin again.
Today, Boracay island is finally an enchantment, but for how long?
