NASA’s Artemis II, the first crewed mission of the Artemis program, launched from Kennedy Space Center in Florida to the moon on April 1.

The mission sent NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen on an approximately 10-day journey around the moon.

On Day 4, NASA conducts a second outbound trajectory correction burn to refine Orion’s path to the moon.

The crew reviews geographic imaging targets for observations planned on flight Day 6, adjusting based on launch timing and trajectory.

They also schedule time to capture photos and video of celestial bodies from Orion’s windows as part of mission activities.
