PRINCETON — Art will once again take center stage in Princeton this spring as Princeton Arts celebrates its 35th anniversary with its Annual Spring Show & Sale.
The three-day event, being held at the Princeton Community Center, invites visitors to step into a gallery filled with color, texture and imagination, featuring original works created by members of the society.
From radiant watercolor landscapes and expressive acrylic paintings to photography and three-dimensional pieces, the show offers a diverse look at the creativity flourishing in the region.
The festivities begin Friday, May 1, with an opening reception and awards presentation from 6 to 8 p.m., offering guests the chance to meet artists, enjoy the artwork up close and celebrate the start of the exhibit. The show continues on Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
All work on display is created by members of Princeton Arts, many of whom are award-winning artists recognized widely in their fields.
“This event is more than an art show,” said Jean Strock, a member of Princeton Arts. “It’s a celebration of creativity and a chance for artists and community members to connect – we believe that artists, like the rest of us, need to be acknowledged, supported, seen and heard.”
Founded to support and encourage the arts in the region, the Princeton Arts Society is a nonprofit organization that promotes visual, musical, literary and performing artists throughout the area.
The show and opening reception are free and open to the public and will be held at the Princeton Community Center, 206 Worcester Road (Post Office Place).
