CARMEL – Putnam County officials want to know: “How are we doing when it comes to public transit?”
The county is conducting its first Public Transit System Study in 13 years and is seeking residents’ support and input by completing a short public transit survey.
Planning and Transportation Director Barbara Barosa said the county-wide study will analyze existing fixed routes, para-transit and on-demand services, while making recommendations for future improvements to services and amenities.
The survey will also provide feedback and perspective from riders of the transit system. Members of the general public who would like to share their perspective are also encouraged to complete the document.
The survey is available on line at:

Paper copies are also available on PART buses and at the Putnam County Department of Planning Development & Public Transportation office at 841 Fair Street in Carmel.
