In this lecture, a numerical relay to understand the LINKNET structure is discussed. In this example, calculation of branch-node table containing determination of END, NEXT, LIST, and FAR using algorithm-I of LINKET structure is described. Afterwards, determination of primary/backup relay pairs using algorithm-2 of LINKNET structure is discussed for two different relays. Finally, the table preparation of primary/backup relay for a given network is deliberated.
