🌲 We Restored an Abandoned Apartment INSIDE a Giant Tree in the Forest Deep in the forest, we discovered something nobody expected — two massive ancient tree trunks, each over 8 meters wide, hiding a forgotten 2-story apartment carved directly into the living wood. Overgrown with vines, filled with decades of debris, and slowly being reclaimed by the forest... we decided to bring it back. This is the full restoration journey — from the moment we stepped into the abandoned forest to the final reveal of one of the most unique homes ever restored.
ABOUT THIS PROJECT ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The structure consists of two connected giant tree trunks, each carved with oval windows, a spiral staircase inside, and a handmade timber bridge connecting both sections at the second floor. Every surface — from the amber epoxy resin floors to the copper farmhouse sink and cast iron bathtub — was designed to honor the natural beauty of the living wood around it. Tools used: chainsaws, pressure washers, industrial wood treatment, epoxy resin, copper plumbing, custom ironwork, and a lot of patience.
