1. Digital Crafts : Pavilion 
The project was conceptualized by students in a 3 week (Winter School 2016) course, Digital Crafts: Customised Bricks 1.1, conducted at Faculty of Architecture, CEPT University, Ahmedabad, India.  RhinoVAULT which is the Plug-In to Rhinoceros® emerged from research on structural form finding using the Thrust Network Analysis (TNA) approach to intuitively create and explore compression-only structures was introduced as a generative tool. Five different designs were generated by students working in a group of two. Out of these, children’s play area was chosen to develop further The project presents a craft-based construction approach to computation. An institutional collaboration between CEPT University, Hunnarshala & Karigarshala having common research interest brought this project to life. 

2. Kanchanjanga Apartments
By developing climatic solutions for different sites and programs, Indian architect Charles Correa designed the Kanchanjunga Apartments. Located in Mumbai, the 32 luxury apartments are located south-west of downtown in an upscale suburban setting embodying the characteristics of the upper echelon of society within the community.  In Mumbai, a building has to be oriented east-west to catch prevailing sea breezes and to open up the best views of the city. Unfortunately, these are also the directions of the hot sun and the heavy monsoon rains. The old bungalows solved these problems by wrapping a protective layer of verandas around the main living areas, thus providing the occupants with two lines of defense against the elements. Correa pushed his capacity for ingenious cellular planning to the limit, as is evident from the interlock of four different apartment typologies varying from 3 to 6 bedrooms each. Smaller displacements of level were critical in this work in that they differentiated between the external earth filled terraces and the internal elevated living volumes. These subtle shifts enable Correa to effectively shield these high rise units from the effects of both the sun and monsoon rains. This was largely achieved by providing the tower with relatively deep, garden verandas, suspended in the air. 

3. Steampunk Pavilion
SoomeenHahm Design, Igor Pantic and Fologram have built a twisting pavilion for the 2019 Tallinn Architecture Biennale using augmented reality and old-fashioned woodworking. The design team combined traditional methods such as steam-bent hardwood and hand tools with the latest technology to create the timber and steel structure, which is called Steampunk. Their aim was to find a method that combined technology in a way that still kept the designers close to the craft of building, rather than using robots to build the pavilion.Steampunk was made using digital models that were projected in augmented reality. These were used as guides for the build team who set to work using traditional tools.

4. Timber Rhyme
Timber Rhyme, designed by Studio Ardete, is an interior-installation instantly poetic: a “spatial matrix” that has evocative ribbons of wood twisting and turning within the space, almost like it has a mind of its own. The fluidity of the design in this single-room space feeds a very primal, functional role in the way that these poetic wooden ribbons turn into display shelves, seating spaces and meeting areas, among others. The ribbons were digitally fabricated with the help of a definition in Grasshopper, a computational design tool, which led to the formulation of plywood ribs of doubly-curved geometries that interlocked at 6-inch intervals. This “waffle structure” was then put together with use of 19mm plywood ribs, 3mm Flexi-ply, and 1.5 mm paper veneer—each cut and handled by the carpenters. The craftsmen further jig-sawed the rib in-situ, in unidirectional arrangement. 

5. Hobart Hospital Redevelopment
Royal Hobart Hospital Holographic Bricklaying by Fologram. In order to maintain a consistent bond along the curving benchwork, All Brick needed to work with a large collection of cut brick types that templated and fabricated using holographic guides. Holographic models of the benchwork enabled the AllBrick team to work in completely different sections of each course in parallel while still maintaining consistent bonds and eliminating the risk of accumulative error.
