Louis Vuitton Unveils Stunning New Timepieces in 2024

The personal collections of Gaston-Louis Vuitton have inspired a new series of brilliantly crafted Louis Vuitton watches for 2024.

Drawing on its artistic and technical watchmaking expertise, the Maison lifts the curtain on three stunning pieces from the Escale Cabinet of Wonders collection: Koi’s Garden, Snake’s Jungle, and Dragon’s Cloud. Each of these unique watches is crafted using a variety of métiers d’art in an homage to natural and fantastical worlds.

Another exceptional Louis Vuitton timepiece is the Tambour Moon Flying Tourbillon Sapphire Frank Gehry, a collaboration with the renowned Canadian-American architect. Inspired by Gehry’s architectural marvels, the architecture of this transparent watch offers a mesmerizing view of the flying tourbillon calibre.

Gehry took cues from his Seoul project for the dial design, which he made reminiscent of the rippling glass structure atop a building. The watch’s miniature structure evokes a sense of lightness and dimension, taking cues from the architect’s glass ship design for Fondation Louis Vuitton.

Another two whimsical watch designs are introduced in the Tambour Slim Vivienne Jumping Hours collection. With the Sakura Vivienne watch, the playful Louis Vuitton mascot Vivienne embarks on new adventures exploring Japan’s cherry blossoms.

Finally, Louis Vuitton embraces a traditional take with a modern twist in the Voyager Flying Tourbillon Poinçon de Genève Plique-à-Jour watch. The dial has the look of a contemporary stained-glass window, revealing the flying tourbillon mechanism.

This dial showcases the plique-à-jour enamel technique, a rare and complex technique, practiced by only a select few artisans in Europe, which Louis Vuitton achieved in collaboration with several master enamellers, with the dial crafted entirely at the brand’s La Fabrique du Temps workshops.
