CHANEL’s color palette typically conjures up its classic monochrome black and white, but the vibrant shade of pink has also been recognized as one of Gabrielle Chanel’s favorites, emerging in many of her collections and designs.
For Watches and Wonders 2024, the CHANEL Watchmaking Creation Studio is turning to this classically feminine hue to present extraordinary new watch designs that are all about pink. Boldly showcasing the vivid color alongside the brand’s signature beige gold, the four new CHANEL watches present reimagined takes on the J12 and BOY-FRIEND models.
First on the docket, the J12 Pink Edition shows off subtle infusions of fuchsia pink on the bezel and dial, both set with baguette-cut pink sapphires. The case itself takes a sporty lean with bright white ceramic on a matching bracelet, touched up with 18-karat beige gold.
The beloved model gets levelled up in its next rendition, the J12 X-Ray Pink Edition. Limited to only 12 pieces, the exclusive model shows off its internal workings with a clear case of pink sapphire crystal and beige gold, beset with pink sapphires and beige gold hands. A pink sapphire crystal bracelet completes the piece, which is also accented with beige gold links set with pink sapphires.
The CHANEL Boy-Friend watch also comes out in two new Pink Edition versions. The X-Ray Pink Edition shows a pink sapphire crystal case and bezel, fitted with a beige gold crown and pink sapphires. Meanwhile, an 18-karat beige gold case frames the Skeleton edition, with a beige gold bezel and crown all detailed with baguette-cut pink sapphires.
Both versions are fitted with a pink calfskin strap in CHANEL’s signature quilted motif, lined with gold on the inside and finished with a beige gold buckle, with the buckle on the Skeleton version also studded with 23 pink sapphires.
