From Okay to Wow- Tips for How to Style Home Accessories

Home is where you feel happy and comfortable. It’s your space, a place to relax after a long day. Decorating your house is exciting, but it can also feel a bit overwhelming.  Adding accessories and styling our homes is something many of us love during our Home Décor Design process. It's like putting the final touches on a room, making it go from okay to amazing. Here are some simple tips to help you style your home accessories. Keep reading and try these simple rules to make sure your home looks great.

Surface Styling:

When you're styling big surfaces like console tables or chests of drawers, use large or tall accessories to fill the space. Try putting tall candlesticks or lamps at each end, or a vase with fake plants. Make a centerpiece in the middle with a stack of books or a display of interesting things, arranged in groups of three. Avoid using too many small items; they might look lost and make it seem a mess.

Styling Your Shelf:

When arranging a shelf, make sure to mix things up. Use pictures of different heights, sizes, and orientations in various style frames. This adds variety and texture to your display. Overlapping some pictures gives it depth and prevents it from looking too flat. Add other stuff like plants or candles to break it up. And be sure to fill the shelf, so there aren't big empty spaces.

Styling Bookcase:

When you organize bookcases or shelves, it's good to think about both usefulness and how it looks. Stack some books flat and some upright to make it more interesting and add some height. Use Decorative Home Accessories to make it both useful and nice to look at. Use storage baskets to keep things tidy while keeping things in, and plain boxes at the bottom are perfect for filing papers neatly.

Styling Your Coffee Table:

When you're setting up your coffee table, think about arranging things in groups of three. Use items with different heights and textures. It's nice to have something green, like a real or fake plant. Candles, coffee table books, and diffusers are also good things to use. A cool tray is handy for keeping everything together, or you can use it for keeping things like TV remotes. If your coffee table is round, try putting one display in the middle.

Enjoy arranging your home accessories, and make it personal to you. Choose beautiful books that match your interests and reflect who you are. Pick candles with scents that relax or uplift you, and if you like plants, use real ones in your styling too.

Keep it simple – sometimes having less is better. If things look too crowded, try taking away a few items. A cleaner look can make a bigger statement. There aren't strict rules in styling your home accessories. Just make a space that feels welcoming and shows off your style. Try things out, be creative, and have fun making your home special for you.
