When Voices Meet
After Nelson Mandela's release from prison, brave South African musicians overcame Apartheid's obstacles to create a 500-voice, multiracial youth choir. Despite threats and constant challenges, they succeeded and traveled across the country on The Peace Train. Their singing touched the hearts and minds of a divided nation during a civil war, promoting a peaceful shift to democracy and becoming Mandela's symbol of the new nation. "When Voices Meet" chronicles the struggles and successes of these musician activists and choir members, who performed together for seven years, stayed connected, and reunited 20 years later to share their stories.
