Steve, a college freshman and tennis player, falls deeply in love with Shelly, another tennis player. His life spirals as he loses his appetite, sleep, and academic standing, eventually getting kicked off the tennis team. His inventive friend proposes disguising Steve as a woman to get closer to Shelly, who is unaware of his existence.
