Kurt Kuykendall (Jason Burkey) seems to have it all: good looks, a spot on his college basketball team, and Olympic aspirations. However, his life in Bethesda, Maryland, is far from ideal due to an alcoholic mother (Nancy Fondriest), a domineering father (Michael Landers), and a family tragedy. After being cut from the basketball team at the end of his freshman year, his dreams fall apart. Yet, with the support of friends (Robby Stone, Danny Cornett, Chelsie Casagrande) and newfound faith in God, Kurt finds courage and his true purpose.
