Cody High: A Life Remodeled Project
Cody High: A Life Remodeled Project highlights the efforts of the Cody Rouge community in Detroit to create safe pathways for children by eliminating blight and abandoned homes. In 2014, with the help of Life-Remodeled, a Detroit-focused non-profit, the community, along with over 10,000 volunteers, remodeled three schools, demolished three burned-out houses, renovated 25 homes of students and their families, boarded up 254 vacant houses, and improved 303 blocks. The film skillfully depicts the powerful stories of community members involved and how their lives are becoming symbols of hope in Detroit.
